This desktop console tool was developed by SERVIR-Eastern and Southern Africa to enable water managers be able to compute flood extent for any basin given the stage values. The application has also been linked to the CREST model in that for any stream flow modelled above the threshold, the tool can easily compute the corresponding stage and generate a flood inundation map for the same.

This simplifies the stream flow outputs from CREST model for water managers and helps them determine the likelihood of flooding and also the impact that could have. Currently the tool has been customized for Nzoia Basin and Nyando Basin in Kenya and Malaba Basin in Uganda and SERVIR team is working with various stakeholders to add more basins.
